On arrival at Cochin International Airport, you will be greeted by a Floohoo representative and transferred to your hotel in historic Fort Cochin. In the evening, you will view a Kathakali dance performance at an auditorium nearby. Overnight at your hotel.


After breakfast you will be taken on a guided tour of the heritage area in Fort Kochi – visiting the St.Francis church and Chinese fishing net. From Fort Kochi the tour will go on to an ancient spice market in Mattancherry, explore the antique shops on Jew Street, visit the oldest Synagogue on the subcontinent and then the Dutch Palace. On conclusion of the tour you will return to your hotel for lunch. In the evening you will enjoy an exclusive sunset cruise and if you are lucky spot Dolphins frolicking at the mouth of the river. This evening you will dine with a family in Fort Kochi. Overnight at your hotel in Fort Kochi.

DAY 03: COCHIN - MUNNAR [126KM] 4 Hrs

After breakfast you will be transported to Munnar. After checking into your resort you will visit the primary market in Munnar in the evening, like every bazaar in India, a bustling space, full of colour and raucous bargains. Overnight at the resort.


After breakfast, you will you will be taken on a guided tour of the Tea Museum in Munnar town and later, you could walk through a tea plantation. Later, in the afternoon you will visit Echo-Point and a reservoir nearby, both popular sight-seeing spots. Overnight in Munnar.


In the morning, after breakfast you will be transported to Thekkady. After checking into your hotel you will go on a guided tour of a spice plantation. The tour will give you an insight into the growing, harvesting and processing of various spices grown in the area. After lunch, you will be transported to the jetty in the Periyar National Park to embark on a boat ride in the Periyar Lake. The ride is fascinating, you will get to see herds of elephants, deer, gaur and wild boar come to the lakes edge to drink and graze on the lowlands near its shores. Numerous birds, darters, egrets and kingfishers, to name a few, can be seen resting on dead tree trunks that stick out over the lake. Overnight at your hotel in Thekkady


In the morning, after, breakfast, you will be transported to Kumarakom. After checking into your hotel, relax. Post lunch you will participate in a village tour designed and promoted by the Responsible Tourism Kumarakom initiative –
You will board a canoe to begin this tour and your boatman will take you through a lake, its banks fringed by coconut and banana trees, to a village named Manjira. You will be received with great enthusiasm and accorded a traditional welcome, as is the custom with these simple folk, a coconut tree is climbed – learn how the times have changed in a primarily agrarian society. Ajeesh, a toddy tapper, whose ancestors were also in the same vocation, will demonstrate two ways of climbing a coconut tree-the laborious traditional way using a ‘thalappu’ and the methods used today with a certain amount of mechanisation aiding the process. Ajeesh will end the demonstration by serving you a glass of pure coconut water and its kernel in a shell.

Tapping Toddy- Your next stopover on the tour is a grove of palm trees – you get here by walking across a field of paddy. Watch toddy being tapped from the palms and you could sample a glass of fresh toddy, a very mildly intoxicating drink. Your hosts will point out the various plants and spices that they have traditionally used and explain their properties.

Gowrie’s home – Your next visit is to Gowri’s home. With nimble hands and amazing dexterity, she will demonstrate the craft of weaving fronds of coconut leaves. With a smile, she will even try and get you to try it out yourself.

Net fishing – Suresh, a skilled fisherman from the village will teach you a few traditional fishing tips. Watch, as he casts a net and pulls up a catch.

Lata – your next stop is Lata’s home. You get there on the canoe. Lata will demonstrate the fascinating process of making coir. She will allow you to try your hand at it.

World of screw pines – At another home in the village, learn from Omana how screw pine products are made. Please do buy a couple of products that she makes. Omana will be thrilled.Overnight at the resort in Kumarakom.


After breakfast, you will be guided to the hotel jetty to board a houseboat and embark on a cruise of the backwaters. The cruise continues passing through palm fringed canals, past paddy fields and quaint villages, with the lullaby of the water lapping against the hull of the boat. The cruise continues until close to sunset when the boat will anchor in the middle of the lake or else close to shore. Overnight on the houseboat.


After breakfast disembark at Alleppey and you will be transported to Kovalam. Check into your resort and spend the rest of the day at leisure. The beaches in Kovalam are mostly serene and you could opt to swim or simply laze on a deck chair. Else you could explore the shacks nearby that serve excellent sea food or buy brick a bracs. Overnight in Kovalam.


Morning, relax at the beach.
Afternoon enjoy half day guided city tour of Trivandum visiting the Horse Palace- earlier Royal residence now a museum with art crafts, Napier Museum – an interesting history museum, then you are proceeding to the Padmanabhaswamy Temple – the wealthiest temple in the world. Evening drive back to kovalam.

DAY 10: Kovalam - Relax at the beach or Optional day excursion to Kanyakumari

An excursion to the meeting place of the three seas, Kanyakumari(The Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea, and the Bay of Bengal). On the way, you are lucky to visit Padmanabhapuram Palace and Thanumalayan Temple Suchindram. In Kanyakumari you will visit the Gandhi Memorial, Vivekananda Rock Memorial, and return to Kovalam after seeing the sunset from the southern tip of India.

You will be transferred to the airport in Trivandrum in time to board your flight to an onward destination,
