ITINERARY

On arrival at Bangalore also referred to as ‘the Silicon Valley of India’ you will be received by a representative of Floohoo and transported to Mysore. En route you will visit the splendid Somnathpur temple (also referred to as Chennakeshava Temple, Belur) built by the Hoysala dynasty in the 13th century. Located beside the Cauvery River, the temple is famous for its elaborate and intricate sculptures. On completion of a tour of the temple you will continue on your journey to Mysore. After checking in to your hotel spend the rest of the day at leisure.

After breakfast embark on a guided tour of Mysore. Your tour will begin with a visit to the stunningly beautiful Mysore Palace, a defining landmark in Mysore. Your guide will narrate the history of the palace, of the family of rulers that lived here and their significance in the history of South India. Later you will visit the church dedicated to St. Philomena and then the Mysore market. 
After lunch you will visit the ancient fort at Srirangapatina, situated at a short distance from Mysore, to visit the summer palace and fort of Tipu Sultan, an erstwhile ruler of Mysore. You will then return to Mysore and drive to the top of Chamundi Hill where you will visit a temple dedicated to a Hindu goddess named Chamundeswary. Descending the hill on your return to Mysore you will see enormous statues of a mythological figures from Hinduism, of a demon named Mahishasura and a celestial black bull named Nandi (bull).

After Breakfast you will be transported to Kabini - one of the most amazing wildlife destinations in Karnataka. After checking in to your hotel spend the rest of the day at leisure. Late in the afternoon you will go on a safari in the wildlife reserve. 
The game reserve in Kabini is the south-eastern part of Nagarhole National Park. Spread over either bank of River Kabini, the sanctuary contains over 55 acres of forest. Currently regarded as one of the best wildlife sanctuaries in India, it is home for large herds of elephants and a fascinating variety of numerous other species of animals and birds. Guided safaris are organized for visitors early in the morning and late afternoon.

In the morning you will be transported to Coorg. Madikeri, is the district capital of Coorg. Situated amidst imposing mountains in the southern extremity of Karnataka with a perpetually mist draped landscape, Coorg is ideal for all lovers of nature - renowned for its breathtakingly beautiful surroundings composed of forest covered hills, spice and coffee plantations. After checking in to your hotel spend the rest of the day at leisure.

After breakfast you will visit numerous attractions around Madikeri you will embark on a series of tours to attractions nearby. Most sights in Coorg are within easy access from Madikeri. Popular attractions are visits to the Omkareshwara Temple, Bylakuppe (the largest Tibetan settlement in South India) and the Dubare Reserve Forest & Elephant Camp.

After breakfast you will be transported to Hassan.On arrival at Hassan, check in to your hotel. Later you will embark on a tour of Hassan and its surroundings. The town is situated 935 metres above sea level with salubrious weather similar to Bangalore. Named after the ancient Hasanamba temple, Hassan has had an eventful and rich history, attaining the height of its glory during the rule of the Hoysalas. You will be visiting two exciting temples Named Belur and Halebidu are the best known temples of the Hoysala dynasty. The Belur and Halebid temples give a glimpse of Hindu temple art at its glorious best of the 16th century. They are famous for their carvings and splendid architecture. The Hoysalas improved on the Chalukyan style of architecture by constructing extremely elaborate temples in many parts of Karnataka noted for the sculptures in the walls, ceilings, curved pillars and many more. They followed Dravidian style, of architecture.
