Close to sunset, the boat anchors at the confluence of three rivers where you will stay overnight on the boat.
After breakfast, the cruise continues through picturesque narrow canals to arrive in Champakulam to visit the ancient St. Mary’s church believed to have been founded by St. Thomas in AD 427, and later you will visit a local market. You will also get to view a ‘Chundan,’ a boat of indigenous design used in popular races in the area. The cruise continues until close to sunset when it arrives at a village named Thottappally. Guests will stay overnight on the boat.
After breakfast, the boat will continue through rice fields, little houses, and gaggles of geese and ducks. Guests could opt to visit the ancient temple of Shree Bhagavathy Kshetram which hosts a 5-day annual cultural Ulsavam (festival). Close to sunset the boat will anchor close to shore where guests will stay overnight on the boat.
The cruise continues after breakfast, passing numerous scenic hamlets, to conclude at Alleppey.
